Taylor Swift is no stranger to the American Music Awards. The pop star won several awards at the 2021 and 2020 ceremonies. Before this, in 2019, the AMAs even crowned her Artist of the Decade, and she performed a medley of her hits that year. Come to think of it, this means Swift technically already gave fans a taste of The Eras Tour. Well, excluding Midnights of course. This year, Swift is once again nominated for several awards; however, it’s not exactly clear if she’ll be in attendance. The 2022 AMAs will take place on Nov. 20 in Los Angeles and will air on ABC that night. (You can find more info about the show here.) So far, several celebrities have been confirmed to attend this year’s ceremony, including Dove Cameron, Bebe Rexha, and Charlie Puth. Notably, Swift has not been pre-announced to be participating in the show, even though she has six nominations.

Leclerc and Perez head into F1's 2022 season finale on equal points, so whoever finishes the highest in Sunday's race will wrap up the position behind sovereign world champion Max Verstappen. For all its world titles, it would be the first 1-2 finish in the drivers' championship in Red Bull Racing's history, and it would also be the best finish for a Ferrari driver since Sebastian Vettel in 2018. The battle for second came into focus at last weekend's Sao Paulo Grand Prix, in which Verstappen refused to let Perez past for sixth place due to an undisclosed disagreement between the two earlier this season. After the race talks were held between both drivers and Red Bull's management, with Verstappen promising he would help his Mexican team-mate in Abu Dhabi if needed. On Ferrari's side the topic has not caused any friction, with Sainz declaring on Saturday that he would be happy to help Leclerc if Ferrari asks him.

As the wise philosopher David Puddy once said: “Don’t mess with the Devils, buddy. We’re number one, we beat anybody!” And that was more or less true throughout the 1990s and the 2000s. Across those two decades, only the dynastic Detroit Red Wings racked up more points in the NHL standings or won more Stanley Cups than the three-time champion New Jersey Devils. But after a surprise trip to the Cup final in 2012,1 New Jersey’s run was nearing its end. With practically all of the stars who powered their success either long gone or on their way out the door,2 the Devils would begin a multi-year playoff drought — their first since 1987 — and make just a single appearance (a 4-1 first-round loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2018) between 2013 and 2022.

A few weeks into the 2022-23 NBA season, and we still have no idea what's true and what's a mirage. The Utah Jazz were the top team in the Power Rankings last week, but they've dropped significantly this time around after three straight losses. The Golden State Warriors entered the season as the favorite to come out of the Western Conference, but they're currently mired in mediocrity, at best, and disaster at worst. But then there are the Boston Celtics, who shook off a few early losses to win eight straight games and emerge as the No. 1 team in this week's rankings. Everybody thought they'd be good -- and they are, indeed, good. We can all breathe a welcome sigh. Below them, however, the surprises keep coming, as the Pelicans jumped all the way to the No. 2 spot after a strong week. And let's not forget the fightin' Sacramento Kings, who have been one of the more entertaining teams in the league recently while producing a winning streak of their own...

The manager of the Iranian men’s soccer team said his players are allowed to protest while they participate at the World Cup in Qatar, as long as those protests do not break FIFA rules. Carlos Queiroz made the comments at a press conference in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday. According to Reuters, Queiroz said: “The players are free to protest as they would if they were from any other country as long as it conforms with the World Cup regulations and is in the spirit of the game.
